Answers:

1. What is a LAN Party?
I will start off with "LAN". L.A.N. Local Area Network. With that said, it is basically a bunch of gamers who pack up their computer, (BYOC = Bring your own computer), set it up in a room with many other gamers, plug into a network connection, and play games until their eyes bleed. Both men and women attend LANs, some LANs include tournaments in which the winners may win computer products sent to the LAN by sponsors. Usually there is food provided... Pizza and POP... and a cool drink call BAWLS.

2. Are they safe?
No drinking of alcohol, no drugs, no weapons, just computers and games. Worst thing that could happen is... you could get carpal tunnel syndrome.

3. Do you have to stay awake for the whole LAN?
No you don't.. gamers bring sleeping bags/pillows, or just sleep in their chairs. Some sleep under their chairs, some use their keyboard as a pillow. *Most hard core gamers, game the full duration.

4. What's my odds of winning a prize?
Well, it all depends on how many prizes get sent to us from our current sponsors. We have over 30 sponsors listed on our "sponsor page" yet, not all of them send product for each and every LAN event. On occasion we have given away more prizes than the number of gamers at the event, and we have had a few LANs where we only had a few prizes to give away. "You never know"?!

5. Can I bring an extra server?
Only if you request and get approved by DECIM8 or sight|i|picture.

6. Can I refer a new gamer even if I haven't been to a LAN?
Yes, you will get an extra entry into the Grand Prize drawing.

7. Can I refer more than one gamer to the LAN?
Yes, you can refer as many gamers as you like and you will earn one extra entry per referral, into the Grand Prize drawing.

8. What happens if I referred someone and they put down somebody else as their referrer?
Unfortunatly, we go by what the sign-up form states. If the referred gamer puts down someone's elses name, then that is the name the gets the extra entry.

9. How many sponsors do you have?
We have many sponsors, but they all don't send product every month. We do get more sponsors each month, so this should keep the prizes fresh.

10. Do you have $CASH$ prizes?
Yes, it's on a LAN by LAN basis **Our first LAN to have a CA$H prize was our Jan. '05 400ML.

11. How do I support LPNW?
You can help support LPNW by purchasing products from our sponsors. If it be in person at their retail stores of if they are online. Please use the spnosor's banner located on our sponsors page if you are going to be purchasing items online. If you due buy the items in person be sure to say that "LAN Party Northwest sent me".

12. Can I pay for a friend?
Yes, you sure can. Please use the link on the left menu. (the link changes for each LAN event)

13. How do I change my gamer name?
All you have to do is enter your forum profile and update your display name. This will in turn update your gamer name for the forums and the LAN roster page. If you change your name with less than 24 hours before the next event your gamername and nametag might be your old one at the registration desk.

14. How do I cancel?
You must email sight|i|picture with the words "cancel and your gamer-name" to sightpicture (at) lanpartynw.com before the event.
