Needs to be centrino Needs to run Nvidia graphics (Linux!) Needs 1gb ram Needs 60gb hdd Needs DVDRW Needs to be around $2k

As for the Gb of RAM, don't get the machine with it installed. Get it with 256 or 512 and upgrade manually, just make sure it has the upgrade slots you need. Its cheaper to buy your own ram and install it. Same with the HD. Get the lowest HD they have, buy the one you want and either sell the one it shipped with or throw it in a nice little firewire powered 3.5 external enclosure.

a 2.5" external enclosure you mean?  Ranger = teh win Mif: call the powernotebook people and they can hook you up

haha.. ive spent many months pricing matching powernotebooks to every1 else.. they are the best.. their ram and hdd upgrades are fracking worth it too.. after you figure shipping.. unless you go ultra low quality ram.. i dunno.. thats my opinion..
