Turns out the mobo was going bad on the shuttle. I don't have to run Win7 but it'd be nice. Main thing is I need a 5+ year old system. I've got lots of DDR and an AGP video card. So I'm looking for either a full system or something that I can use most of my parts with.
I've got a little shuttle I've been using for a while. It worked fine with Vista for a while, then was unstable so I decided to install Win7. Well, it's been really unstable. The nForce3 chipset seems to be the culprit. It never even had Vista support. I could go back to XP but I'd rather not, so I'm looking for a basic Win7 compatible machine.
Currently I've got a 3000+ with 2GB of DDR 400. I've got an AGP video card, ATA HD, IDE DVD-ROM... so mainly I just need a mobo, cpu, PSU and a case... possibly RAM if it doesn't take DDR 400.
I don't have much cash, would rather trade. I can throw in this shuttle plus a little cash. I've got a snowboard with bindings I need to offload too, a 3U super micro chassis, CRT TV (I know), 22" CRT monitor...

FYI: Anything nforce 4 and lower doesnt support win7, so you might be digging yourself a hole by sticking with a socket a processor.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was looking for chipset drivers. Apparently nForce3 was supposed to have Vista support and they canned that and nForce4 at the same time. So a new CPU is in order too.

*bump* changed the first post. Doesn't have to be Win7 compatible, just ~5 years old. Preferably something I can use some of my existing parts with, or comes with most of the parts and is cheap.

Hmm, tempting. I just "won" a shuttle on ebay. P4 3GHz, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM, DVD drive... $68 shipped. I need a video card for it though. Was thinking of getting two so your system might still be useful. Is it just those four parts? Video card?

OK, well I just looked at it and its not an AGP. However if I dig around I might have a 9800 pro still around if that works for you.
